LEWIS CENTER MAN INDICTED ON ATTEMPTED MURDER

November 2, 2018 – A Delaware County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against 18-year-old Dajuan Ramon Woods of Lewis Center.

Charges come after Columbus Police responded to a call that a woman had been shot in the lower jaw in the area of Lazelle Commons Drive.

“On scene the injured woman identified her attacker, who was located a short time later walking away from the area,” said Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien. “The suspect was arrested without incident, and a firearm was later found among bushes and trees, wrapped in clothing and covered in leaves.”

Woods is charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of aggravated robbery. All charges are first-degree felonies carrying a firearm specification.

Initial investigation suggests the shooting may have occurred during a drug deal.

Woods is in the Delaware County Jail awaiting arraignment.
