Dajae May, age 19 of Dublin, was sentenced to 14-19.5 years in prison after being convicted by a jury in March. May was found guilty as charged of numerous violent offenses including Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping. “Justice prevailed again in Delaware County. Another violent criminal will now go to prison because of the efforts of law enforcement and our office.” Prosecutor Melissa Schiffel said.
In January of 2021, May and two others robbed a Verizon Wireless retail location located in Lewis Center. May and the other suspects had firearms on their person, and the victims were held at gunpoint and instructed to crawl into the inventory room as May and others collected over $30,000 in iPhones.
