Open in new tab May 12, 2025 – On May 5, 2025, Delaware County Common Pleas Court Judge James P. Schuck sentenced Cash Wells, a 28-year-old Powell man, to 6 years in prison for Strangulation and Abduction, both felonies of the third degree. Wells pleaded guilty to both counts on April 4, 2025.
Wells was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies in Waldo and transported to the Delaware County Jail on September 11, 2024, following an incident that had occurred the night prior and was being investigated by Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
This case was prosecuted by Domestic Violence assistant prosecutor Elizabeth Matune and assistant prosecutor Ashlee Beougher.
