June 23, 2025 – Today Delaware County Common Pleas Court Judge James P. Schuck sentenced Jewelvonte Clark, a 23-year-old Columbus man, to 5 years in prison for Felonious Assault, a felony of the second degree.

On May 8, 2025, Clark pleaded guilty to Felonious Assault stemming from an incident in May of 2024, where he fired a shot at an Uber driver who noticed that Clark had a firearm and refused to pick him up.  Upon seeing the firearm, the Uber driver pulled away and Clark fired his gun at the car striking a tire on the passenger side of the car.

This case was investigated by Columbus Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutors Chelsey Capezzuti and Ashlee Beougher.
