June 6, 2018 – A Delaware County Grand Jury has returned a three-count indictment against 25-year-old Matthew A. Marcum.
Charges come after authorities responded to a Galena residence on May 27, 2018 on a call of domestic violence.
“When they arrived, law enforcement heard arguing coming from inside the residence,” said Delaware County Prosecutor Carol O’Brien. “A female reported being strangled by her adult son, and said her younger son had been slapped in the face.”
Marcum is charged with attempted murder – a first-degree felony, felonious assault – a second-degree felony, and domestic violence – a first-degree misdemeanor.
An arraignment date is not yet set.
